Holiday Open House Live Music – Lake Collective Band

It seems like just yesterday we were carving pumpkins for Halloween, now it’s almost Thanksgiving and the holiday season is upon us. After you’ve filled yourself up with turkey and all the fixings on Thanksgiving, head to downtown Madison on Nov 24 – 26 for a special Holiday Open House featuring live music, trolley rides, family photo opportunities, and specials at many downtown businesses. This FREE event is put on by the Madison Downtown Business Improvement District.

The Shine On Holiday Lighting Ceremony will be held on Friday, Nov. 24 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Lisa Link Peace Park with the lights illuminating the Capitol Square and State Street at 5 p.m.

The Holiday Shopping Trolley will be running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to take you up and down State Street and around the Capitol Square to the different shops in the area. Trolley riders will get a holiday gift bag with specials from different downtown businesses. Gift bags will also be available for shoppers at downtown businesses and the Downtown Visitors Center at 452 State St. 

Businesses in downtown Madison will also be competing for the best window decorations and your vote for your favorite gets you entered to win a $25 gift card.

Special Kids in the Rotunda performances at Overture Center
