A highlight of Opera in the Park is when the audience gets to conduct one of the songs with light sticks, illuminating the whole park. Light sticks will be available for purchase for $1.
If you want to get to the event early, you can lay down a blanket as early as 7 a.m. on the day of the concert. You’re welcome to bring a picnic dinner, bottle of wine or other drinks.
A raffle will be held during Opera in the Park, where you could win $2,000 for 1st prize, $1,000 for 2nd prize, or a Madison Opera subscription for two. Raffle tickets are $10 each or 3 for $25.
In the event of rain, Opera in the Park will be moved to Sunday, July 23.
