One of the best foods of summer is fresh corn on the cob, smothered in butter and salt. Madison’s neighboring community of Sun Prairie celebrates the summer corn harvest with the annual Sweet Corn Festival. This year’s festival is happening Aug. 16 – 20 at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie.

The annual event features live music, a carnival, food and a beer tent. Carnival wristband nights are on Thursday, Aug. 17 and Friday, Aug. 18, from 6 – 10 p.m., where you can get unlimited rides for $30.
On Saturday and Sunday, you can buy a grocery bag full of uncooked corn for just $10.
