Prices of almost everything are increasing, including stamps from the U.S. Postal Service (USPS). In January, the price of Forever Stamps will increase from 66 to 68 cents. So, now’s the time to stock up on Forever Stamps before the increase.
The last day to buy Forever Stamps at the current rate of 66 cents is Jan. 20, 2024. The increase will take effect on Jan. 21, 2024.
The rate of a postcard stamp will also increase from 51 to 53 cents.
Forever Stamps purchased before the price increase will still be valid for the current first-class stamp rate — regardless of any future rate increases.
If you use lots of stamps in your personal or professional life, buying several rolls or books of stamps now at the lower rate is worth the investment. You can purchase stamps at post offices and Madison-area grocery stores like Woodman’s and Metro Market.
You can also purchase stamps online at the current rate, but there is a charge for shipping.
