Great Taste of the Midwest Pre-Party is Friday, Aug. 11 at Various Locations

The Great Taste of the Midwest is happening on Saturday, Aug. 12 at Olin Park in Madison. Tickets for this event are pretty pricey ($70 yikes) and, even if you are willing to shell out that kind of dough, you’re out of luck because the event is sold out. 

However, you can still discover some great beers at several Great Taste pre-parties that are being held around Madison tonight (Friday, Aug. 11). Best of all, these “Great Taste Eve” pre-parties are FREE to attend, but you will still have to pay for the beer. 

Here’s some of the participating locations and the beer they’ll have on tap:

Starkweather Brewing Co. – Sabbatical Brewing (starting at 7 p.m.)

Ian’s Pizza – Rhinegeist (starting at 4 p.m.)

Licari’s Bar & Grill – O’so Brewing Co. (all day)

Genna’s – Potosi (starting at 4 p.m.)

The Rigby – Upper Hand Brewing and New Belgium Brewing (starting at noon)

Argus BarGrille – 3 Floyds & WarPigs (starting at noon)

Maduro – Bell’s (starting at 10 a.m.)

The Flying Hound – Goose Island (starting at 4 p.m.)

Gates & Brovi – One Barrel Brewing Company (starting at 4 p.m.)

One & Only – Against the Grain (starting at 4 p.m.)

Weary Traveler – Tyreena (all day)

Harmony Bar – McFleshman’s Brewing Company (all day)
