Is your child interested in playing hockey, but you’re not sure you want to invest in all the gear if they’re just going to change their mind? Good news! On National ” Try Hockey ” Day, Saturday, Nov. 4, kids can try hockey before you buy it.
Bet you didn’t know that was a thing, did you? Neither did we. Local youth hockey associations, along with the USA Hockey organization, have banded together to offer “Try Hockey” days where kids can get an introduction to the sport.
Young hockey enthusiasts ages 4 to 9 of all abilities will learn the ropes from certified coaches and instructors at Try Hockey Day events. The locations will have limited loaner equipment, and participants are also welcome to bring their own.
